Concerning the position of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, there is uncertainty about the current situation of the judiciary (CJN).

The Supreme Court, the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC), and the National Judicial Service Commission (NJC) have all remained silent on the matter, despite reports that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibahim Muhammad, has submitted his resignation letter and given it to them, citing health reasons.

Ahuraka Yusuf Isah, the CJN’s media assistant, Festus Akande, the Supreme Court’s information director, and Soji Oye, his counterpart at the NJC, all stated they were unable to confirm the development.

“The CJN came in this morning. He suddenly left. I was told he didn’t come in his usually convoy,” an official told The Nation.
