On Saturday, July 23, 2022, the seventh season of Big Brother Naija, often known as BBNaija, the most popular reality program in Nigeria, will premiere.
According to Anaedooonline.ng, Multichoice Nigeria’s Head of Content and West Africa Channels, Busola Tejumola, announced this at a press conference on Tuesday in Lagos.
Tejumola announced that the seventh season will begin on July 23 and July 24 with two opening ceremonies. He also mentioned that this year’s edition will last 72 days and end on October 2, 2022.

She disclosed that at the conclusion of the 72 days spent inside the Big Brother House, the show’s victor would get a N100 million grand prize. Tejumola emphasized that the winner of the competition will get a N50 million cash reward along with additional items valued at N50 million from the sponsors.
The reality show will be shown starting at 7 p.m. on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29, with simultaneous broadcasts on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family, according to Tejumola.
There won’t be SMS voting for this season, she said, adding that fans may now choose their favorite housemates for free via BBNaija’s official website and mobile app as on the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.
The BBNaija fans in Africa will also watch the event live on Showmax, the Multichoice spokesperson continued.

Tejumola also revealed that some pre-COVID 19 aspects, such as the beloved “Ninjas” and a live studio audience, would return for the seventh edition.
Tejumla went on to say that over 40,000 entries from young people had been received, and that 30 fans of the show will also win N1 million each in the DStv & GOtv customers’ only favorite Lock-In promotion.
