Femi Fani-Kayode, the former aviation minister of Nigeria, has questioned why the Defense Headquarters responded so quickly to his statement but not to the recent wave of terrorist attacks, particularly the attack on the Kuje Custodial Center.

DHQ has refuted claims that the Department of State Security (DSS) had informed the military of an upcoming attack on Kuje Correctional Centre and an earlier strike on a passenger train between Kaduna and Abuja.

The Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Jimmy Akpor, stated that the charges made by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, are irrational and unsupported.

Akpor went on to say that it was unfortunate that the previous minister didn’t know who was in charge of keeping the prison secure.

Fani-Kayode, responding on Sunday via his Twitter page, described the military’s quick response as insensitive and incompetent

His tweet read: “It is instructive that the @DefenceInfoNG can, within 2 days, respond to my video and yet cannot respond to the daily bombing, butchery, slaughter, kidnapping and terror that Nigerians have been subjected to over the last 7 years. Such insensitivity & incompetence is nauseating.”
