Alloy Ejimakor, the special lawyer for the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, claims that Atiku Abubakar’s campaign is employing Reno Omokri, a contentious former assistant, to incite the northern population against the Igbos.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Alloy Ejimakor stated this on Saturday via his Twitter account and insisted that the narrative Omokri is supposedly promoting will finally validate IPOB and Igbos.
In a recent interview, Peter Obi remarked, “What we’ve chosen to do in this nation is to continually recruit car drivers to fly the Nigerian airplane instead of engaging qualified pilots.” Omokri, who is supporting Atiku, called Obi’s statement arrogant and slammed him for it. Let’s run for office and tackle the nation’s problems, that’s my pledge.
Then Reno instructed Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP to “perform a voiceover of Peter Obi Arise’s interview in Hausa.” Allow him to speak about Kwankwaso and other presidential candidates in front of common people in Kano and the Northwest.Such conceit! Being a pilot, you. They’re just drivers, right?
The tweet sparked outrage amongst Peter Obi supporters who immediately started a petition on Change. Org to ‘Ban Reno Omokri from Twitter & Rescind his Business Insider Influencer of the Year Award’ over those tweets.
Reacting to the development, Alloy tweeted “With Atiku’s camp (per @renoomokri) instigating the North against Ndigbo & Kwankwaso latching on IPOB as the tar brush, you would think they’re running against Ndigbo & IPOB, not @PeterObi & Tinubu.
“Fact: The more they do this, the more they validate the #IPOB & Ndigbo.”
