After reuniting with important PDP governors in London, the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, may be on his way to bury his complaints that had sparked the ongoing internal crisis in the PDP.
The talks for negotiations, according to Anaedoonline.ng, come soon after the governors of Lagos and Ondo states met behind closed doors with the governor of Rivers State on Friday. The meeting was organized by Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State and the NGF’s chairman.
Speculations that the Rivers Governor may be about to join the ruling All Progressives Congress have grown as a result of the encounter (APC).

Contrary to rumors, Wike met on Sunday with governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state for a strategy session ahead of the 2023 general elections. Wike has remained silent about his next move since Atiku Abubaker, the PDP presidential flagbearer, ditched him for the position of the party’s vice-presidential candidate.
According to a source who requested anonymity, Governor Ortom has come under a lot of pressure from the Rivers State Governor to keep his support for the PDP, and the agenda of the London meeting was discussed.
Although the meeting’s specific objectives were not made public, it may have been held to address the PDP’s current issue before.
