The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike will be put an end as soon as possible, the Federal Government has stated.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Opiah, promised the ASUU members, parents, and students that the dispute will soon come to a close.

At a reception hosted in his honor by his pals, Opiah offered the guarantee to reporters in Owerri over the weekend.

“I can assure you that government is very concerned about the situation. Even as I speak to you now a lot of thinking, a lot of discussions and meetings are going on with a view to resolving the matter as quickly as possible

“I am hopeful that the disagreement between Government and ASUU will be resolved soon so that our children can go back to school,” he said.

According to Opiah, the difficulties facing the educational sector can be overcome, and the Federal Government is determined to find answers and put a stop to the ASUU strike.

The minister declared that he is ready to collaborate with Mallam Adamu Adamu, the minister of education, to have an impact on the industry.
