The Kano State Consumer Protection Council confiscated 487 sacks of outdated flour from a warehouse in the city’s Dawanau market.

This is stated in a statement delivered to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Yakasai.

According to Yakasai, the Council’s Acting Managing Director, Dr. Baffa Dan’Agundi, revealed this in his office immediately after the flour evacuation on Sunday.

Dan’Agundi said some good citizens of Kano tipped the council with the information about the flour which was brought to Dawanau market for sale to people.

He added that the council confirmed that the flour has already expired after having a laboratory test of some samples.
