As he traveled back to London to join the Blues, Sterling signed a five-year contract for more than £300,000 per week.

It may be recalled that Sterling became the most expensive English footballer ever at the time in 2015 when he transferred from Liverpool to City for a sum of about 50 million pounds.

At the Etihad Stadium, Sterling scored 131 goals in 339 games in all competitions and assisted manager Pep Guardiola in winning four league championships.

In recent seasons, Sterling’s scoring skills have produced amazing results, including 25 goal contributions as Man City defended their domestic championship and advanced to the Champions League semifinals.

Most of the 27-year-old forward’s goals are scored from close range, which is a credit to his deft movement and precise timing in the 18-yard box.
