The Peter Obi Support Network (PSON) has blasted Kaduna state governor Nasir El-rufai for deciding to obstruct the conduct of a planned Northern Summit in support of Mr. Peter Obi at the Arewa House.
Less than 24 hours before the event, the Governor summoned the manager of Arewa House through his spokeswoman to inform him that “we cannot have Peter/Datti Northern Summit in Arewa House.”
The governor omitted to provide a justification for rejecting the group’s request to utilize the venue, which was extensively publicized.

The frontline support group has announced preparations to host a summit with the express purpose of interacting with frontline presidential candidate supporters across the 19 Northern States of the nation.
Comrade Sani Saeed Altukry, spokesman for the Peter Obi Support Network (POSN), told reporters this morning that the summit is not, in any way, a political campaign, but rather a gathering of supporters and potential supporters of the Obi-Datti project who will engage in necessary interaction and idea-sharing.
The popular Arewa House, Raba Road, Kaduna, Kaduna State, where the event was originally scheduled to take place on July 19, 2022, was canceled by the governor after the group had paid for the usage of the location.
POSN further stated that Governor El-rufai is too small to stop the “Peoples Movement” which Peter Obi represents vowing not to succumb to intimidation aimed at suppressing the liberation of northern Nigeria from under-development and poverty.

The statement reads, “we condemn the decision of the Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-rufai to block the hosting of the Northern Summit for Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) and his running mate at the Arewa House in the state.
“The decision of the Governor is disheartening at the critical point in time when Northern Nigerians are desperate for development and liberation from poverty due to maladministration.
“The Governor of Kaduna state is intimidated by the rising profile of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, across the length and breadth of the country.
“The Governor should know that this is a “Peoples Movement” which can never be stopped.
