Odienyefa Ogbolosingha, a former State House of Assembly aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party platform in Bayelsa State, was assassinated by gunmen suspected of being assassins.

According to ANAEDOONLINE.NG, the bandits broke into Ogbolosingha’s home on the Imiringi Road in Yenagoa on Friday and shot him dead.

The victim was the younger brother of late Michael Ogbolosingha, a former chairman of the Yenagoa Local Government Council. He ran for the PDP ticket in the 2023 state Houses of Assembly election.

He hailed from Kalaba community in the Yenagoa LGA and was also a member of the Okordia-Zarama Cluster Development Board.

A community source, who pleaded anonymity, said that Ogbolosingha’s assailants had a couple of weeks ago sent him a message warning him and a contractor not to carry out a road project under the cluster board.
