On Monday, Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, addressed rumors that he had left the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
Fani-Kayode asserted that rumors that he left the ruling APC were untrue.
He made the point that stories not coming from him or his social media accounts ought to be disregarded.
“Reports that I have left @OfficialAPCNg are not true. Any announcement that does not emanate from me directly or on my verified social media pages concerning my political affiliation is fake,” he tweeted.
The former aviation minister left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress in 2021.
Fani-Kayode has clarified that the APC he joined was distinct from the one he had previously voiced harsh criticism of.
The former minister recounted how he joined a progressive, tolerant group.
