Deji Adeyanju, an activist based in Abuja, claims that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), is aiding Bola Tinubu, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Adeyanju, Kwankwaso thinks Tinubu will elect him as president if he wins in 2023.

He emphasized that if Tinubu wins in 2023, it will take another Southern and Northern presidential candidate 16 years to control Nigeria.

Adeyanju wrote in a series of tweets: “If Tinubu wins, it will take another candidate from the South 16 years to become president, and the same goes for a Northern candidate.

“This is one of the reasons Kwankwaso is now supporting Tinubu. He thinks Asiwaju will help him get power in 8yrs time.

“A very important lesson I learnt from this is that be less desperate about power. This is the same reason why Kwankwaso and Obi couldn’t work together when it’s obvious only one person can be president.”
