Linus Okorie, a former politician who represented the Ohanivo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has left the PDP.

Along with three other top party officials, Okorie defected to the Labour Party from the main opposition party (LP).

The ex-lawmaker joined the quickly expanding LP in Ebonyi State on Tuesday.

Prince Chibuez Agbo, a former state commissioner for education, Anselem Enigwe, a PDP chieftain, and Eze Emmanuel, a candidate for governor of the state, are among those who left the PDP for the LP.

In the 2023 presidential election, Okorie and the other defectors would like to see Peter Obi, the party’s nominee, win.

Hours after Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere endorsed Obi for President, they turned against him.

However, in a different development, Apostle Chinyere, the General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministries, declared support for the former Governor of Anambra State on Monday.

The pastor referred to Obi as the Moses God sent to save Nigeria in a post on his Facebook page.

In the upcoming presidential election, he urged Nigerians to vote for the former governor of Anambra State.

When he returns, Apostle Chinyere, who is now abroad, has committed to explaining to Nigerians why he is backing Obi.
