In advance of the 2023 presidential election, Nigerian political activist Deji Adeyanju challenged Nollywood actor and comedian Okey Bakassi for his choice of candidacy.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the comedian used his Twitter account to explain why he was supporting Peter Obi, the presidential flagbearer for the Labour Party (LP).

The actor continued by supporting Obi in order to stop Tinubu from receiving medical care in London and Atiku from relocating to Dubai.

Adeyanju responded to the actor by opining that Peter Obi does not use Nigerian hospitals in a tweet that was published on Twitter.

The political activist said that Obi never used the one hospital he built in Anambra State and that his children attended schools abroad.
