David Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State and a leader in the All Progressives Congress, paid Governor Nyesom Wike a visit on Sunday.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Governor Umahi and Governor Wike had a meeting on Sunday at the latter’s country estate in Rumuepirikom, Port Harcourt.
The governors entered a private session; however, no information regarding the content of the session was made public.
Since the People’s Democratic Party crisis began, Governor Umahi has paid Governor Wike a visit twice, the most recent being this time.
On June 18, Governor Umahi paid the former presidential contender his first visit at his home.
Umahi had called the encounter with Governor Wike a cordial and kinship visit.
The two didn’t provide any information about their encounter, leading to rumors that they may have planned to cooperate during the general elections in 2023.
Despite efforts by the main opposition party to reconcile Governor Wike, Governor Umahi, a former PDP member, has now met with Governor Wike twice.
Since Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, chose the governor of Delta State to be the party’s vice presidential candidate, the governor of Rivers State has remained silent regarding PDP activities.
