Kanunta Kanu, a brother of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, has stated that politicians and governors should cease encouraging banditry in the Southeast.

Kanu argued that legislators and governors should quit offering ransom to Southeast Asian robbers.

Kanu asserted in a tweet that Fulani kidnappers must be driven out of the Southeast.

He bemoaned the fact that thieves had received millions in payments and that the Eastern Security Network, or ESN, had suffered harm.

According to Kanu: “Eastern Region MUST be free from the hands of Fulani kidnappers.

“The governors, politicians, and elites should stop promoting banditry in SE by paying ransom to free abductees.

“You pay bandits millions, victimises #ESN & encourage the killings of #Biafrans by @HQNigerianArmy”.

Several people have been killed in the Southeast and blamed on ESN operatives.
