Verona Sends Giovanni Simeone To Napoli On Loan

Giovanni Simeone, an Argentine forward, has signed a season-long loan deal with Napoli from Verona, the two clubs announced on Thursday. After scoring 17 goals for Verona last season, the 27-year-old, who is the son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, is coming off of his most productive season in Serie A.

If specific requirements are completed, the agreement might become permanent for a cost of 12 million euros ($12.2 million) next summer.
