Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, has removed a tweet in which he disparaged “Obidients,” or Peter Obi’s Labour Party (LP) backers.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Fani Kayode released a statement on the microblogging service Twitter early on Monday, August 22nd, outlining their reasons for ignoring the “Obedient Movement.”

According to the Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), LP followers are everywhere, but they should not be disregarded.

The former minister claims that because the “Obidents” are merely a movement united by the shared cause, purpose, and objective of ousting the current leaders in order to bring in the new, they will continue to hold their current position.

He tweeted: “These Obidients are EVERYWHERE. We ignore them at our peril. Long after we are all gone they will still be here because they are not a pol. party but a movement. They are bound together in a common cause, purpose & objective: to rid Nigeria of the old order & usher in the new.”

A check on the page to see the reactions of some netizens shows that Fani-Kayode has deleted the tweet but it was captured by Newsmen before he deleted the post.
