Doyin Okupe, a leader in the Labour Party, has said that the “Obidient” movement transcends both ethnicity and religion.
Okupe was responding to the thunderous acclaim that welcomed LP Presidential candidate Peter Obi at the opening ceremony of the Nigeria Bar Association’s Annual General Conference.
In a post sent on Monday via his Twitter account, Okupe claimed that the former governor of Anambra’s reception upon entering the NBA Conference demonstrated his widespread acceptability.
The former Presidential assistant emphasized that the NBA Conference is a real-world event with actual attendees who represent the LP candidate’s genuine structures rather than a social media event.
He wrote: “This is Peter Obi at NBA Conference NOT a Church. The OBIdient Movement is beyond Ethnicity and Religion. This is not a social media event. It is an event wt Real people who are the Real structures.”
