Deji Adeyanju, an activist based in Abuja, has revealed that he has knowledge that Olusegun Obasanjo is endorsing Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP).
This follows Obasanjo’s Thursday meeting in London with Obi and certain governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), according to Anaedoonline.ng.
Adeyanju said the elder statesman has been urging people all over the world to support the former governor of Anambra State in a post he shared on his Twitter page on Thursday.

He claims that Obasanjo has also requested financial support for the LP flagbearer’s campaign from some of his contacts abroad.
He said, however, that despite the former president’s backing, Obi will finish in a distant third place in the presidential election and he urged anyone who had any doubts to place a bet with him.
He wrote: “I have information and those who know me know this. OBJ is supporting Obi 100% and I said this days ago.
“Baba has been the one calling people all over the place for Obi; from PDP governors to international connects and even people that can help fund the campaign but Obi will still come distant 3rd. Do you wanna bet?”
