In support of Peter Obi’s bid for the presidency, thousands of his fans shut down Port Harcourt on Friday. Peter Obi is the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.

The Obi fans, who numbered about 10,000, congregated at the Eleme junction axis of Aba Road and sang songs in his honor.

The supporters marched along a section of Ikwerre Road while donning fez hats and white shirts, under the auspices of the Two Million-man March for Obi, before coming to an end at Isaac Adaka Boro Park.

Due to the march, many drivers took detours and other routes became congested.

The majority of the fans were young people, who sang and danced the entire time.

They carried signs that emphasized the nation’s problems with leadership and proposed that Peter Obi would solve them.

They also urged Nigerians to get ready to bring about change.

Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo spoke to the audience of “Obi-dients,” who had braved the rain, at Isaac Boro Park.

To the delight of the throng, Dokubo reiterated the catchphrase “We no dey donate shishi, we no dey collect shishi.”
