LATEST: After Months In Detention DSS Finally Releases Mama Biafra

Ukamaka Ejezie, also known as Mama Biafra, who is rumored to be the foster mother of imprisoned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been freed by the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Mama Biafra, who had been held by the DSS for several weeks, was released from their custody on Sunday.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the principal attorney representing Nnamdi Kanu, announced Mama Biafra’s release in a statement.

He said, “I am very delighted to inform you all that Mrs. Ukamaka Ejezie (Mama Biafra) has regained her freedom. She is now out of the DSS dungeon. Thank thee, Chukwuokike Abiama, for this huge success.

“We are not relenting, every prisoners of conscience, including our indefatigable client, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will soon regain their freedom.

“We in the legal team are doing everything legally permissible to make it happen, we are not resting on our oars at all, be assured.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the DSS detained the elderly man on May 18 in Abuja during Nnamdi Kanu’s final court hearing.

Since his parents passed away in 2020, the woman had served as his mother.
