Aisha Yesufu, a political analyst and human rights activist, has offered her perspective on the requests made by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Governor Wike’s team demanded that Senator Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, step down from her position.
The governor’s team also wanted the right to choose Ayu’s replacement, and that person must be from the South-West.

Wike’s camp also demanded that, should the PDP win the 2023 presidential election, they be allowed to participate in the new PDP government and that Atiku be allowed to serve only one term.
Yesufu stated in a tweet sent on Monday via her Twitter account that the requests made by Governor Wike are not as unreasonable as some supporters of Atiku have claimed.
The PDP presidential candidate’s willingness to serve a single term if elected in 2023 is also questioned by the human rights activist.
She wrote: “Atiku will do one term? I laugh in Etsako. They will believe him if he says so? By the way nothing outrageous about the demands.”
