Social media users have responded to Senator Ibrahim Shekarau’s rejoining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after serving as governor of Kano State.
According to an earlier report from Anaedoonline.ng, Shekarau was welcomed back to the PDP by Atiku Abubakar, Ifeanyi Okowa, Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s National Chairman, and other party leaders.
Kano State hosted the ceremony to welcome Shekarau back to the PDP after leaving the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

After a disagreement with the NNPP leader and presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Shekarau defected alongside hundreds of his admirers and followers.
At the ceremony on Monday, the former minister of education was also given his PDP membership card.
The former governor’s entry into the PDP has sparked a variety of responses online, with some PDP members and supporters praising him while others questioning his political relevance.
