Nigerians are furious with Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), the former minister of aviation, for congratulating Senator Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Borno State, on his 56th birthday.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Shettima will turn 56 on September 2, 2022.
In congratulating the politician and All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate from Maiduguri, FFK noted that Shettima has inspired millions of Nigerians with his admirable traits.
He referred to Shettima as his buddy and brother and prayed to God for him to live for many more years in prosperity and good health.

However, Shettima’s birthday greeting and wishes from FFK have drawn criticism on social media from users who call the APC leader a hypocritical politician.

On December 14, 2017, at precisely 10:13 AM, FFK posted a derogatory message against Shettima on his verified Twitter account.
The tweet reads: “In Maiduguri, the citizens know that Governor Shettima is the Boko Haram boss and the keeper of Chibok girls.
“Shettima is indeed the keeper of the Chibok girls whilst Ali Modu Sherrif himself is the founder and father of Boko Haram.
“Both men are murderous, evil scum.”
When the politician praises Shettima on social media in an effort to advance his bid for the presidency with Bola Tinubu of the APC, Anaedoonline.ng understands that netizens who remember the earlier comment now use it to attack the politician.
