Before making a decision, the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA) said it would assess a number of contenders.
In a statement issued by the association’s chairman, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, the organization declared its choice.
They justified their choice by stating that all applicants should have an equal chance to succeed.
The statement states that they would hold a gathering known as “The Pastors’ Congress,” during which the governorship candidates of all the State’s political parties would speak about their plans for the Southern Kaduna population.
The group also rejoiced with with the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan Kukah over the celebration of his 70th birthday.
They also sent their condolences to the immediate family and congregation of Solid Rock Fellowship International, over the demise of its General Overseer, Archbishop Zakka Bonet.
