Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dissociated himself from various assets in Lagos State that are connected to him.

The Oriental Hotel and Civic Center are among the buildings in the state that the former governor of Lagos State denied ownership of.

In a documentary where he discussed his accomplishments as the governor of Lagos State, Tinubu made this revelation.

The Oriental Hotel was associated with Tinubu in 2020 because vandals demolished the building claiming it belonged to the presidential candidate.

Following the shooting at the Lekki tollgate and during the ENDSARS protest, hoodlums had targeted some of Tinubu’s properties.

Television Continental (TVC), Max Radio, the Nation newspaper, and the media organization connected to Tinubu were all destroyed.

The Oriental Hotel attack forced the facility’s proprietors to issue a statement distancing Tinubu from the location.

Taiwo Ali, the executive director of Western Metal Product Company (WEMCO), disclosed that his organization owned 99.9% of the hotel’s shares.

In the documentary, Tinubu claimed to have attracted private investors to Lagos State, noting that the Civil Center and Oriental Hotel were previously turned down for dumping.

Tinubu disclosed that it took months and investments by the investors to transform the area.
