Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, asserted on Tuesday that PDP defectors had decimated the organization.
Wike claims that the same individuals who ruined the party are the ones who refer to him and his allies as boys.
Remember how Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national chairman, referred to the supporters of his resignation as “children”?
Ayu added that he will not permit the populace to ruin the party before the general elections in 2023.
Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue State, and Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State, are all members of Governor Wike’s camp and have been demanding Ayu’s resignation.
However, Wike believes that the main opposition party’s demise is due to people who call him and his friends “children.”
The youngsters stuck behind and kept the party going after others left, the Rivers State Governor observed.
As election season approaches, he urged the people of Rivers State not to be frightened by anyone.
The PDP governor expressed sympathy for any Rivers resident who would pick up table scraps.
Governor Wike urged the people of Rivers State to occupy their proper position.
This was said by the former candidate for president on Tuesday at the dedication of the Rivers State University’s Etche campus in the state’s Etche local government area.
