According to the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, former President Olusegun Obasanjo will back his former vice president in winning the presidency.
Obasanjo is aware of the candidate’s potential, according to campaign spokesman Charles Aniagwu.
On Wednesday in Asaba, Aniagwu, the Delta Commissioner for Information, interacted with journalists.
He noted that during the most recent general election, Obasanjo had backed the PDP candidate.

Aniagwu claimed that from 1999 to 2007, Atiku helped the nation’s former head of state restructure the economy.
“Atiku was more or less Obasanjo’s candidate, so if he supported him that much, I don’t think anything has changed between 2019 and now.
“The same God that led him to support Atiku in 2019 is still alive and will lead him to know that Atiku.
“Obasanjo saw the ability of Atiku in 1999, and he chose him against all odds to become his running mate”, NAN quoted him saying.
The media aide expressed optimism that Obasanjo will support Atiku in 2023 in the interest of Nigeria and in accordance with his patriotic ideals.

Aniagwu insisted that the former vice president possesses the skills necessary to deliver the nation from its current predicament.
The commissioner stated that Atiku acknowledged there were some problems within the PDP and would lead the team in resolving them.
