Prince Charles, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s son, is currently the King of England.

As the globe mourns the passing of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, the former Prince of Wales is anticipated to address the grieving country.

Prince William, Prince Harry, and the children of Queen Elizabeth kept company with the late monarch at Balmoral after physicians raised grave fears about her health.

But after being accompanied by her family, she passed away a few hours later.

Millions of the Queen’s subjects in the UK and overseas will observe a ten-day period of mourning following her death, which will be felt throughout Britain and her Commonwealth territories.

It will be a celebration of her historic 70-year reign—which included this year’s Platinum Jubilee—that Prince Charles’ ascension to the throne will initiate.

It has been said that a British monarch is unlikely to ever again reach this landmark.

After her husband Philip’s demise in April 2021 at the age of 99, Queen Elizabeth passed away more than a year later.
