REVEALED: ‘The Only Condition That Will Make Me Stop Campaigning For Presidency’ – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has pledged to halt his presidential campaign if it is revealed that he mismanaged funds while serving as governor of the state of Anambra.

Speaking to Nigerians in the United Kingdom, the former governor called on government employees to avoid embezzling money from the people.

Obi claims that throughout his eight years as the governor of Anambra state, he received over 500 billion naira and did not misappropriate any of it.

He further challenged anyone to refute his claim, saying that if they succeeded, he would cease his presidential campaign.


“Stop the Stealing. I received about half a Trillion Naira as governor in 8 years. If anyone can show me where 1% of it was misappropriated, I will stop campaigning.”Peter Obi said to Nigerians in the UK.

Peter Obi, meantime, recently refuted reports that he was out seeking money for his campaign in the US and Europe.

According to, the Obi was responding to a request for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify him from the 2023 presidential race due to a violation of the Electoral Act on campaign funding made by a support group operating under the banner of Tinubu-Shettima Connect.

According to the statement, Obi’s tour was intended to educate and recruit Nigerians abroad for his impending agenda of nation-building.

According to the report, the ruling APC is concerned about Obi’s overseas travels since its leaders are unable to meet with Nigerians living abroad knowing that they were a major factor in their decision to leave the country in the first place.
