Sonia, the 25-year-old daughter of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, has requested a kidney donation from the general public.

Sonia stated in an Instagram statement that she was diagnosed with a rare kidney ailment in 2019 and that her family did everything they could to save her life, including taking her to numerous hospitals, but the condition continued and worsened.

She also revealed that she is currently having dialysis three to four times per week in London at the expense of her family because she is ineligible for the National Health Service due to her immigration status.

According to her, the last three years have been exceedingly difficult, and the imprisonment of her parents is directly related to her sickness, complicating matters.
