2023 Presidency: Ahead Of Election Campaign, Peter Obi visits Jonathan

Prior to the election for president in 2019, the Labour Party’s (LP) Peter Obi paid a visit to Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Obi claims that throughout the encounter, he and Jonathan discussed important national concerns.

The former governor of Anambra posted images of the visit on his Twitter page on Thursday, saying that they discussed a wide range of issues of national concern in the run-up to the election.

“I recently visited my senior brother, H.E. @GEJonathan to exchange views on an array of serious national interest questions. -PO,” Obi captioned the pictures.

The campaign for the presidential and National Assembly elections will start on September 28, 2022, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), while the campaign for the governorship and state houses of assembly will start on October 12, 2022.

On February 23, 2023, at midnight, political parties will begin their final campaigns for the presidency and National Assembly. On March 9, 2023, at midnight, they will begin their last campaigns for governor and state assemblies.
