In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, All Progressives Congress (APC) members organized a sizable gathering on Wednesday under the banner of “Asiwaju Walk.”
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Dapo Lam-Adesina, the son of Lam Adesina, the former governor of the state, organized the demonstration to show support for Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
Akin Alabi, the congressman who represents the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, tweeted pictures from the event on Thursday through his verified Twitter account.
“Hon Dapo Lam was like, let’s do something modest before formal campaigns begin so we opted to do it low key,” he wrote in a tweet.
Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labor and employment and a spokesperson for the APC’s 2023 presidential campaign, also shared a 20-second video of the Asiwaju rally on Twitter.
He tweeted, “Jungle don dey mature for Oyo o!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣”
As many Nigerians used the microblogging website Twitter to respond to the “Asiwaju Walk,” there have been a variety of comments.
