Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, will embark on a business trip to Europe on Friday afternoon (today).
This information was provided in a statement by Atiku’s media advisor, Paul Ibe, on Friday, dispelling allegations that the former vice president was travelling for health reasons.
After his meeting with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria’s leadership on Friday in Lagos, he said that Atiku’s travel abroad would begin immediately.
The statement read, “Today’s trip is in continuation of an earlier business trip of 3 weeks ago.

“At the conclusion of his European trip, the former Vice President will also use the opportunity to visit his family in Dubai.
“His trip is for business and family purposes and has nothing to do with medicals as being insinuated in some quarters.”
On Wednesday, the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, announced a fortnight vacation in Europe handing the mantle of leadership in acting capacity to the National Vice Chairman North, Iliyasu Damagum.
