Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), according to Festus Keyamo, spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, are not very well-liked in the North.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Bola Tinubu of the APC, and Peter Obi, the nominee for the Labour Party, are the main front-runners for the presidency.
Keyamo claimed in an interview with Newsmen on Sunday that neither Atiku nor Kwankwaso are as relevant or as politically significant in the North as President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his opinion, neither candidate have the level of acceptance, street cred, or integrity that President Buhari does in the North.
“Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Kwankwaso do not have the popularity, acceptability, street credibility, and the kind of integrity that Buhari has that made him a rave in the North,” he said.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment added that Tinubu would get the bloc votes of President Buhari to win the 2023 presidential election.
He added, “I am optimistic that the structures that worked to get us those bloc votes are still with us.”
Atiku’s media advisor, Paul Ibe, responded to Keyamo’s assertion by criticizing the Minister for claiming that his client lacks street credibility and is unpopular in the North.

Ibe asserted that Tinubu must be ready to share in the failures of his administration’s past seven years if he intends to get Buhari’s bloc vote.
