A group supporting Peter Obi-Yussuf Datti called Lagos4ObiDatti has announced plans for a 4 million-person march in Lagos State on October 1.
This was said by Christopher Ademuyiwa, the spokesperson for the Lagos4ObiDatti Central Organizing Committee, on Monday at a news conference held at the National Art Theater in Lagos.
Ademuyiwa stated that the march would take place concurrently in three distinct Lagos venues, including FHA Field on 23 Road, Festac, and Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, GRA, Ikeja.

The bus pickup places would be announced on social media, he said, and plans have been made to have buses transport Obidients to and from their locations.
Ademuyiwa, however, refuted any attempt to link the Lagos rally to the 2020 #EndSars Movement, adding that the march is legal and constitutional.
He said: “This march is more like a carnival, and the Obidients in Lagos are gearing up in large numbers to show their support for the Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed presidential ticket.
“Also, plans have been made to have buses transport Obidients to and from their locations, and the bus pickup points will be released on social media.

“Our march is legal and constitutional, it is within the electoral time frame and calendar released by INEC and all security agencies have been duly and formally informed using the appropriate means.
“The police, NSCDC, road safety and DSS will be on the ground to provide security as we march.”
