AVM Monday Morgan, a prominent Christian from the North, has debunked the notion that there are not enough Christians in the region.

In an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today on Tuesday morning, he spoke about the Muslim-Muslim ticket that the All Progressives Congress (APC) had chosen.

He cited the fact that the percentages of Christians in Taraba and Adamawa States, respectively, are not less than 80% and 75%, to demonstrate that they are not the minority in the North.

According to him, “In Plateau State, Christians are not below 85%, in Benue State, they are not below 90%, in Kogi State we speak 50-50, while in Kwara State, Muslim are 60% and Christians 40%.”

He said that Christians make up 40% of the population in Kaduna State while Muslims make up 60% in Borno State, adding that Christians cannot be pushed to the side across the entirety of the north central and north west.

When Festus Keyamo, the mouthpiece for the APC campaign, announced the Northern Elders Forum would offer its members’ own bargaining chips to the parties, AVM Morgan noted that he had called Festus Keyamo’s bluff.
