The All Progressives Congress (APC) put its presidential campaign council’s inauguration on indefinite hold on Tuesday.

The reason for postponing the inauguration, according to Governor Simon Lalong, Director-General (DG) of the APC presidential campaign council, is that the ruling party is making changes to the list.

However, there have been signs that the list was causing friction between certain APC governors, the party’s national working committee, and Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate.

According to sources who spoke with Newsmen about the development, Tinubu contacted President Buhari to request his inclusion as a token of respect after forming the campaign council with other governors.

According to the sources, Tinubu changed some of the areas in which President Buhari and the governors had expressed interest after verifying their input.

According to reports, President Buhari put forward Margaret Okadigbo, the wife of a former Senate President, to serve as the regional coordinator for the South East, but Tinubu changed her name to Uju Ken Ohanenye, the party’s lone female presidential candidate who resigned for him at the presidential primary in Abuja.

In the South West, the APC governors had chosen Rotimi Akeredolu from Ondo State instead of Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State, to serve as the PCC coordinator for the region. Tinubu objected to the appointment.

Fayemi reportedly stood aside for Akeredolu, whom he claimed to be the Chairman of the South West APC governors, after noticing what was going on.

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lifts the ban on the presidential campaign today, the APC will be hoping to settle its disputes (Wednesday).
