The list of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign council is missing the names of Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and his wife, Dolapo.

The Vice President’s name was missing from the list after the ruling party issued it, Anaedoonline.ng had earlier reported.

In a statement, the APC refuted the idea that there was a disagreement between the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Osinbajo, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari had asked for Osinbajo’s withdrawal.

According to the statement that stated Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, was also left off the list, Buhari demanded that they be allowed to concentrate on governance.

The Vice President’s name, Dolapo, is missing from the roster of the women’s campaign team that Oluremi Tinubu released a few days after the APC’s presidential campaign council was revealed.

Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Buhari, is listed as the patron of the women’s campaign team on the list that was made public on Friday. Remi Tinubu, the wife of the APC presidential candidate, and Nana Shettima, the wife of Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate, will serve as chair and co-chairperson, respectively.

The Vice President’s name wasn’t on the list, and as of the time this article was filed, the party hadn’t given a reason.

Before the general elections in 2023, the ruling party has had to deal with the controversy surrounding their Muslim-Muslim ticket. Some people thought Osinbajo’s presence would have put an end to the matter.
