Labour Party React As Peter Obi Supporter Is Attacked In Lagos

In response to the reported assault on a Peter Obi fan in Lagos State, the Labour Party (LP) has spoken out.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, a social media user going by the name of Obi Flag boy was allegedly attacked on Sunday.

The internet user claimed that thugs in Oshodi attacked him after learning that he was carrying Peter Obi’s flag.

He posted, “This is what the chairman of Oshodi and his boys did to us today at Oshodi because they saw us carrying the @peterobi flag.

“We were almost burnt alive if not for an army officer.”

In response to the incident, LP said on its verified Twitter profile that it would not put up with intimidation or attacks against its followers.

The party contends that Obi’s campaign is a democratic movement, and that no person should be mistreated in exchange for their support.

The tweet read, “Attack on any Nigerian is an attack to ALL and especially to us @NgLabour. We strongly condemn such barbaric intimidation/harassment of our supporters @ObiFlagboy, especially in Lagos. ObiDatti movement is a democratic movement and no one should be molested @PoliceNG @followlasg.”
