The chairman of the anti-graft commission, Prof. Mohammed Isah, is accused of engaging in corrupt activities by the six federal Code of Conduct Bureau commissioners, who have written to the Senate with a petition.

Even that Ahmed Idris, the former Accountant-General of the Federation, AGF, was involved in the alleged N109 billion theft, according to Isah, was allegedly being covered up.

The commissioners under the direction of Dr. Emmanuel Attah explained in the petition to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions that Isah has been obstructing investigations against some public officers with multi-million and billion dollar assets that have not been disclosed on their asset declaration forms for the past four years.

However, Akinyelure said: “The petition before this committee on allegations against the Chairman of Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB bordering on corrupt practices is worrisome and must be here to defend himself

“The seriousness of the matter lies in the fact that the petitioners are even the six federal commissioners appointed to be working with him in the fight against corruption.

“The commissioners are here but the chairman who is in the eye of the storm is not here. We have gone through all the issues raised in the jointly signed petition by the commissioners and they are very disturbing if eventually proven”.
