On October 13, 2022, the Federal Inland Revenue Service Enugu MSTO paid Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma CON, Chairman/CEO of Innoson Technical Industrial Ltd., an unexpected courtesy call to thank him and his business for being tax compliant.
The Enugu MSTO’s Tax Controller, Mrs. Stellah Obiorah, claims that the FIRS decided it would be appropriate to pay the Chairman an unexpected visit on this month’s Tax Thursday to thank him for making tax payments on time. “Innoson Technical is always a reference point that we use to advice upcoming entrepreneurs and business owner to emulate the company”.

“There are numerous advantages for paying taxes. They aid in the creation and maintenance of infrastructure, such as roads, and they can even assist in the establishment or maintenance of institutions necessary for the rule of law and the operation of the democratic process”.
“Speaking further, Mrs Obiorah stated that tax payment helps in providing sustainable finance and funding for governance, public and social services and economic development. Stimulating priority social and economic activities and sectors while discouraging less preferred ones”.
Innoson Group Chairman Chief Innocent Ifediso Chukwuma CON expressed his gratitude to Enugu MSTO for honoring his company and pledged that it will continue to be compliant and pay taxes as and when they become due. He was taken aback by the visit.
