The National Security Council is currently meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja under the chairmanship of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired).
Those present include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha, National Security Adviser Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (retired), and President’s Chief of Staff Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, and Air Marshal Isiaka Amao will also be present.

The Minister of Defence, Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd.); Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; and Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi.
Also in attendance are the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman; the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Maj. Gen. Samuel Adebayo.
