Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group that has been outlawed, applauded the Court of Appeal for clearing its leader Nnamdi Kanu of all charges.
Anaedoonline.ng had previously reported that charges brought against him by the Federal Government were dismissed by an Abuja court of appeal on Thursday.
The Federal Government’s forced rendition of Kanu to Nigeria, according to the Court of Appeal, violated all national and international laws, rendering the terrorism allegations against him inadmissible and illegal.

In his decision on Thursday, Justice Oludotun Adebola threw out and disregarded the accusations made against Kanu by the Federal Government.
The court determined that Kanu’s allegations were rendered null and void since Nigeria failed to extradite him in accordance with the law.
IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful reacted in a statement on Thursday, expressing happiness over the court’s decision.
The pro-Biafra faction claimed that the verdict demonstrated that some judges are still honest.
He said: “Yes, we are happy to hear that our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU has been acquintated and discharge that is to show that some judges are good and know the law and understand that Nnamdi KANU did not commit crimes and his extraordinary renditioned was very illegal.”

“Biafrans both home and abroad including our friends should rejoice because Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama has done it again. Biafra realisation is the next target and nothing will stop it IPOB from achieving Biafra freedom,” IPOB added.
Emma Powerful also asked criminals terrorising the people of the South-East to run as they are going to meet their waterloo.
