2023: Atiku To Face Northern Elders, ACF, Others In Kaduna
Speaking at the occasion, Atiku argued that because he is a Pan-Nigerian of northern ancestry who has established connections throughout the nation, Northerners should support him rather than a Yoruba or Igbo candidate.
He said: “What the average Northerner needs is somebody who’s from the north and also understands that part of the country and has been able to build bridges across the country.
“This is what the Northerner needs, it doesn’t need a Yoruba or Igbo candidate, I stand before you as a Pan-Nigerian of northern origin.”
Atiku further asserted that he is familiar with every region of the nation and that he has friends and business contacts in every one of them.
If elected Nigerian president in 2023, the former vice president promised to build a government of national unity.
