Sheyi A. Peters, a well-known member of the Nigerian Police Force, has refuted rumors that Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire Ministries, employed mobile police officers for rituals.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Apostle Suleman criticized a police officer named Sheyi Peters Alfred on social media on Saturday for claiming that rituals were carried out using the mobile policeman he provided him (Suleman) for escorts.

The alleged officer had written on Facebook that Suleman had used the girl who was slain during the attempted murder as part of rituals.

Apostle Suleman swiftly addressed the allegations via his Twitter account, saying he had reported the officer to the Inspector General of Police and demanded that the self-proclaim officer prove his claims.

Soon after, it was discovered that the “Sheyi Peters Alfred” Facebook account was no longer active.

The public was however notified by a new Facebook account under the name Sheyi A. Peters that the viral post accusing Apostle Suleman of employing police officers in rituals was not actually written by him.

Peters claimed that he is still attempting to retrieve his account after it was hacked.

He wrote: “To the general public, and especially to Apostle Johnson Suleman, I saw my name trending online that I made a post alleging u of rituals, I want to tell the general public that am not aware of the said post, my account Sheyi Peters Alfred was hacked since yesterday and am still trying to get it fixed, so I did not make such post Pls the general public be aware.”

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the drama began after an attack on Apostle Suleman’s vehicle in Edo State on Friday night. While returning to his camp from a program, the cleric’s convoy was assaulted by unidentified gunmen on Warake Road in Auchi, Edo State.

In the terrible attack, no fewer than seven people—including four police officers—died.
