Veteran musician Charles Oputa, often known as Charly Boy or Area Fada, has expressed disbelief at the news of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s sixth marriage as the Ooni of Ife.
He claims he is astounded by how many wives the Ooni has taken in just two months.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the actor reportedly questioned whether the Ooni intended to fill his position with 12 wives to represent a football team.
His response comes in response to the Ife monarch’s sixth union with Temitope Adesegun, an Ijebu princess.

The Area Fada questioned how the traditional monarch of Ife, who had struggled for years to remain wedded to a single lady, had been able to marry such a large number of women so quickly.
Charly Boy said “I have been struggling to stay married to one woman for over 45yrs, yet my fellow man, the Ooni of Ife in less than 2 months married 6 wives. Juju.
“I must go to this Ooni’s for tutorials. How is he doing it? What if he ends up marrying 6 more, will it become a football team?”
The Ife monarch married six times between September 6, 2022, and October 24, 2022, causing social media to go crazy.

Mariam Anako is the first Queen, followed by Elizabeth Akinmudai, Tobiloba Philips, Ashley Adegoke, Ronke Ademiluyi, and Temitope Adesegun (6th).
