Dr. Dan Shere, a former secretary to the Enugu State government, has been set free.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the medical practitioner was abducted on Thursday along with a number of other passengers.
The University of Nigeria Nsukka, UNN, students were earlier kidnapped by the same thugs.
However, Shere and the other captives were rescued on Saturday evening, which caused excitement throughout the entire town of Nsukka.

Locals flocked to his Opi home, where a raucous party is still going on.
The sum spent to guarantee his freedom is still unknown. But on Saturday morning, the Enugu State Government sent bulldozers to the area to clear the dense forest.
