A number of celebrities from the worlds of music, film, and comedy are working hard to ensure that their preferred presidential candidates win the presidency in 2023. Some of the biggest stars, though, appear to be undecided.

Anaedoonline.ng says that most celebrities who opted to exhibit interest in the 2019 presidential election are either backing the All Progressives Congress, APC, flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu or the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Several of the celebrities were clearly visible at recent demonstrations in Lagos State in support of Obi and Tinubu.

Remember how the former governor of Lagos State got the support of Nollywood stars like Harry B Anyanwu, Mr. Ibu, and John Ikechukwu Okafor before the primary elections?

A video posted to social media showed the pair openly endorsing Tinubu, claiming that he has had a significant impact on society and is deserving of the presidency.

However, Ibu, a humorous actor, was slighted by Peter Obi during a rally in Jos, Plateau State, a few months ago, when both men were urging support for the former governor of Anambra.

“Davido is a PDP supporter and we don’t expect him to be working for a candidate of another party. He is very close to Atiku and he can’t leave him for another candidate,” he said.
